Backlogged.

Yeah. Have just started scanning in over a month’s worth of photos. Was pretty uninspired for a while, but things seem to have picked up again, so this entry will be fairly random, with shaky chronology.

Have finished college for the Christmas holidays – Jenn and I will be spending new year in Paris, from the 28th December – 3rd January. Neither of us have been to Paris before, so we’re both really excited; we’re staying just off the Champs Elysees, so we should hopefully be in a good area to explore the city. If anyone will be in Paris around this time and wants to hang out, just leave me a note!

So, to the photos, all should be tri-x @ 1600, it’s getting dark early in Glasgow…

Fish. We found a great restaurant in Kilmarnock, where the men’s washroom had a view into theladies bathroom area, through a fishtank. We both found this pretty weird. That’s Jenn on the other side, by the way.

We also happened upon an indoot market, which was pretty grim. This woman was pretty reluctant to have her photo taken, but eventually cooperated. I think that was the first time I’ve actually asked a stranger if can take their photograph, and I can see that in future, eye contact will be important in the photo.

Then we went to the big new shopping mall that’s opened just outside Glasgow. It was pretty boring.

Really late at night, I think this was 1/8th at f2 iso1600.

It’s getting really, really cold here in Glasgow. So I popped into the Gallery of Modern Art to get a heat.

The ‘winterfest’ area is pretty quiet during the day. Nobody went on this ride the whole time we were there.

Then we went for lunch at the ‘Ark’, which is possibly one of the worst places for food in Glasgow.

After lunch, the class was split up into groups, and given locations around the city to do a ‘fashion shoot’ in. Our group was using a 350D, sigma 10-20mm lens, and 430ex speedlight.

But I also took a few on the M.

And so, to some stuff from the last few months that I’ve been too lazy to post. I have another roll of tri-x to scan in, not to mention a few rolls to develop, but until i get round to them…

I shot a roll of tri-x through my old Canon EOS500 slr a few months ago, the change to 28mm and slr-framing was nice, viewfinder blackout and cluttered controls were not.

While driving from St. Andrews to Kingsbarns, my car ran out of petrol, because I’m an idiot. So we waited for a taxi.

The next morning was better, as we spent it walking around fields and the beach and stuff. Delta400 here.

The next night, a few of us went up to Edinburgh to see Jeffrey Lewis (who we saw again in glasgow two nights ago). This is his uncle, Professor Louie.
