Basketball, 5DMk2 and a Farm
February 10, 2009
Don’t expect much consistency in this entry.
Spud, halfway through a game of Sunday afternoon basketball.
Sam’s living room wall.
I got an iPhone which is fun.
A club in Dundee. 24/2.8 wide open at 1/10 3200 ISO. Dark dark dark. Still working on RAW processing and noise handling and stuff.
St. Andrews, outside a charity shop.
St. Andrews at night. Was shooting with Jenn’s 24mm again, she kindly let me borrow it. Thanks Jenn.
Wandering back to the car.
Bathroom mirrors and tweed. Does it get any better? Yes.
Back in Glasgow. Still shooting a lot on the walks home from work at night.
Messing with a borrowed 17-40L.
I dropped my (new) 85mm onto concrete, causing it to bounce 3 times. This was the focus test.
Pet Shop.
I went to stay at Sam’s parents house on saturday night, as Sam was looking after the place the next day. We spent most of the night playing xbox. I beat Sam pretty good at pro ev. Yes I did. Sam had borrowed a 5D Mk2 from his college. I played about with it a bit, but could only shoot Jpeg due to not having CS4. The movie mode is awesome. I’m still happy with the mk1 though.
Ah!
…
Kitty the retriever. Crazy dog.
Morning.
It’s an old farmhouse. The long duck was hilarious.
Farmer Sam.
Normal Sam.
Garden.
Walking the dogs. Following were shot with the 5dMK2 + 17-40. Just so you know.
Dead calf. I don’t think I’d ever seen a dead cow before. Strange.
Big open fields…
Getting my Koudelka on (unintentionally).
It was so cold, my hands hurt so bad.
This hit me really hard in a place where you don’t want things hitting you really hard.
Bored of the snow.
s’all for now.
