Graveyards, A Wedding and …Flameball.
April 17, 2009
April has been pretty fun so far. Here’s some photos.
Met up with Chris and wandered about a graveyard and then town for a while, which ended up with Sam buying some goldfish.
Chris had just bought this a few days ago. Nice camera. Nice lens too.
Geeking about.
This guy said something about Bresson to me while I was taking these.
Outside Ladbrokes.
Over at Sam’s place, with our good friend, evening sunlight.
Mpumie turned up to a friend’s wedding reception wearing his uniform, up from his station for a few days.
This was the Scottish half of the wedding; the actual wedding was over in Kenya, so there was of course, a cèilidh.
Deborah and Moses!
Next door to the camera shop.
Sam bought an airhorn.
So we drove to Ayr beach with a bunch of golf balls and clubs, then climbed up the cliff. You can see some more shots <here>
Gedi and Sam teeing up.
This doesn’t really give you an idea of how high up we were. I’m pretty sure you’d die if you fell off.
That was a massive club.
Checking out the view.
Around this time we started setting fire to the golf balls. Check out the video. Oh and turn your speakers on!
Heading back. We managed to hit the sea this time.
Grant playing my guitar.
I’m not actually sure what’s going on here. Charging for a polaroid with Spongebob..?
I was working, taking some reference shots for an oil painter to paint from. We had rented out a church hall. Using the 85mm more and more recently..
Afterwards, I took a few more shots of Emily and Megan by the canal. Ignore all the different colour balances!
Back in town.
Jenn!
It was Kasia’s 21st party last night, at her flat. Wouldn’t have fancied cleaning up this morning.
Shot at 3200 all night. Daaaaark.
Gedi!
Probably should have taken the UV filter off.
Learning new handshakes.
Duncan.
Pouring salt on red wine to clean it up, apparently.
Makeshift doorstop.
No thanks, I don’t like wine.
Allan who plays guitar for Idlewild and DeSalvo turned up at some point.
On the way home at 5am. Birds keep doing this to my car recently.
That was a big entry.
Cheers.

I’m still traumatised by my missing PC Socket on my Ikon. If I were to get a new one from Zeiss, no doubt it would cost a fortune since it’s an “Official Zeiss Product”. Why is rangefinder photography so expensive!?
